Nodulated LionRock

Mineral wool is also known as stone fiber, or mineral fiber. As its name suggests, it is a material created from stone fibers. It is made by spinning or drawing molten stone and slag (waste from the manufacture of steel) into a heap of thin pliable fibers, similar to the process of spinning cotton candy. It was first commercially produced in Germany and quickly became known for its insulation benefits.

Mineral wool is quickly gaining popularity as the go-to solution for commercial and residential insulation. It is highly flame retardant, and capable of withstanding temperatures up to  10000C. Mineral wool is easy to install, it is a sponge-like material that holds its shape.

And finally, unlike other insulation options, mineral wool dries quickly and effectively, making it less susceptible to mold growth.

Service Temperature :  1000C to 10000C

Specification conformance :- ASTM C 612

APPLICATON
It has excellent performance characteristics, and offers distinctive advantages over traditional filler / reinforcing materials.
ADVANTAGES
  • High Temperature StabilityThe high thermal stability results in a stable friction co-efficient in a very broad temp range. Low thermal conduction restricts over-heating and prevents other constituents from degradation.
  • Crack ResistanceEven dispersion of fiber within built bonding features with optional reinforcement properties reduces material wear and improves crack resistant.
  • Easy processingUnique properties & easy way of processing of Nodulated LionRock gives formulators a high degree of freedom in formulating & processing brake material.
  • Consistency in compositionConsistent Chemical Composition with high purity & optimal fiber length contributes for stable frictional properties in the product.
